A laboratory high-speed homogenizer is a specialized device that uses high shear forces to efficiently emulsify, homogenize, and disperse solid-liquid and liquid-liquid materials. It can process materials down to micron-level particle sizes, producing uniform and stable suspensions or emulsions. It is an essential tool for laboratory research, formulation development, and pilot-scale testing.

Working Principle

The homogenizer uses an electric motor to drive the dispersing head at high speed. The intense shear forces, impact forces, and turbulence generated within the narrow gap between the rotor and stator rapidly break down and disperse the materials into fine particles. Higher rotational speeds generate stronger shear forces, resulting in finer emulsification and more uniform processing results.

A wide adjustable speed range of 200–20,000 rpm allows flexible adaptation to different material viscosities and particle size requirements. Lower speeds are suitable for pre-mixing, while higher speeds provide fine emulsification and high-shear dispersion. Regarding working volume, 0.3–5 liters is suitable for laboratory research and development, 10–20 liters is suitable for pilot-scale applications, and 50-liter models are suitable for larger batch processing.
