Product Overview
Laboratory Manual Pellet Press
A laboratory manual pellet press is a commonly used sample preparation tool that compresses powders and granules into solid pellets for subsequent analysis. It operates without electricity, using manual pressure to form pellets, making it easy to operate and suitable for use in laboratories or field locations without a power supply.
Working Principle
The manual pellet press uses a hand-operated mechanism to drive a piston downward, compressing the sample inside a die into a dense pellet. The pressure range is 0–40 tons (0–34 MPa), with piston diameters of Ø70–130 mm and piston strokes of 30–50 mm. These specifications allow users to select a suitable configuration based on sample quantity and die dimensions. Both analog dial and digital pressure gauges are available, providing clear pressure readings during operation.

Applications
Laboratory manual pellet presses are commonly used for sample preparation in X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis, infrared spectroscopy, powder compaction, and ceramic powder pressing. They are widely used in quality control, metallurgy, geology, building materials testing, and university laboratories. Their simple manual operation makes them particularly suitable for small-batch preparation involving multiple sample types.
Lab Manual Pellet Press Selection Guide
When selecting a laboratory manual pellet press, consider whether the pressure range and piston diameter are compatible with your dies and sample requirements. A digital pressure gauge offers convenient, easy-to-read measurements, while an analog gauge provides a simple and durable alternative. Ensure that the 30–50 mm piston stroke is sufficient for your sample and die setup. Other important factors include a stable frame, ease of manual operation, and compatibility between the press and the required dies.

Customer Photos/ Customer Review

Easy to set up and use, with highly controllable pressure, consistent pellet-forming results, minimal vibration, and a low learning curve—all of which significantly boost daily sample preparation efficiency.
The resulting pellets are excellent—sturdy and free from cracks or crumbling. The system provides intuitive pressure feedback, operates quietly, offers great repeatability, and proves to be reliable and durable for long-term experimental use.
It is very user-friendly, maintains stable pressure, and produces smooth, intact samples. With a low failure rate, a straightforward operating process, and consistent results, it offers outstanding value for money.

The unit is heavy and stable, ensuring no wobbling during the tableting process. It uses standard-sized molds, producing firm, intact tablets from powder. It is easy to operate, requires no power supply, and is well-suited for preparing small-scale samples.
After comparing several options, I chose this two-column manual tablet press; the columns are sturdy and resistant to wobbling. It is simple to use, provides intuitive pressure feedback, and allows for convenient mold changes. Overall, it offers good value for money for routine powder tableting tasks.
