Note: 1. One inner bucket is standard by default, and the mesh basket is an optional accessory. If the inner bucket is not required, you can replace it with a mesh basket.

Working Principle

The autoclave uses saturated steam inside a sealed chamber to create a high-temperature, high-pressure environment for sterilization. At a working temperature of 134°C, an adjustable sterilization time of 4–120 minutes allows the unit to accommodate different loads and sterilization requirements. Under the appropriate operating conditions, pressurized steam effectively inactivates bacteria, bacterial spores, and viruses. The lid is secured using a handwheel and bolts, providing a reliable seal and straightforward operation for frequent daily use.

When selecting a laboratory vertical autoclave, consider the daily sterilization workload and choose an appropriate chamber capacity between 35 and 150 L. A power rating of 2.5–6 kW affects the heating rate. The handwheel-and-bolt lid design is simple, durable, and relatively easy to maintain. If you need to process glassware or packaging materials, consider a model with a drying function. An adjustable drying time of 0–240 minutes allows items to be dried after sterilization, potentially eliminating the need for a separate drying step. Other important safety features include overtemperature and overpressure protection, water-level alarms, and an internal steam exhaust system.

The sterilizer is solidly built; the 304 stainless steel chamber is quite thick and feels substantial. It heats up rapidly with high-temperature steam, ensuring thorough sterilization of instruments and culture media—perfect for daily laboratory use. Customer service is also highly responsive.

The chamber is made of stainless steel—sturdy, durable, corrosion-resistant, and heat-resistant. It is highly resistant to rust and easy to clean after use; the smooth interior walls can be wiped clean effortlessly, preventing the growth of bacteria.

I purchased the 75L handwheel-operated model. The build quality is excellent, and the interior space is quite large—very convenient for sterilization tasks in the lab. If I had to point out a drawback, it’s that the materials are so robust and thick that the unit ends up being a bit heavy—haha!

It’s perfect for daily use in a university laboratory; the capacity is just right, allowing for a large number of samples to be processed at once. It heats up evenly, the pressure releases gradually after the sterilization cycle, and the sealing ring is durable and resistant to aging. Maintenance is simple—just wipe down the inner chamber periodically. Overall, it’s a highly practical piece of equipment.

This new vertical autoclave features a fantastic internal circulation design. Since no steam is vented externally, the lab stays clear and free of fog—it’s incredibly practical.

We have received the autoclave, and it is already in use in the laboratory. The "Sunlab" brand is excellent—it is high-quality, heats up quickly, remains airtight, and is very convenient to operate.

The vertical autoclave has a very large capacity, allowing us to sterilize many pieces of laboratory equipment at once, which saves us a significant amount of time.
